Stunning square cotton scarf – a pretty retro print in cobalt blue with red and orange floral print.
ALSO AVAILABLE IN:
We’ve tied this square scarf in a popular ‘Land Girl’ style but without so much volume at the front.
We folded the scarf in half across the diagonal to create a triangle. It is easier to lean forward at this point, place the fold on the nape of your neck with the triangle point coming over your face. Pull the scarf ends forward and tie a knot on your forehead, capturing the point of the triangle underneath the knot. You can stand up and look in the mirror, adjust the position of the knot, take the triangle point back over your head and finish tying a granny knot. This will hold the scarf in place on your head and you can pull out the scarf at the back of your head for a fuller shape. This leaves you with the scarf ends which we swirled into a bun, tucking ends in place at the front underneath. If you wish to secure it further slip a hair elastic over and position around the base.
You can create as much height and volume as you wish. The all important flat scarf dimensions are 90 x 90 cms (35.5″ x 35.5″). Model’s head fitting is 56 cms and there is plenty of scarf to cater for larger head fittings to achieve the same look.
