Trendy chemo headwear – if you’ve been searching for ‘something different’ in your headwear – welcome! Describe it as funky, contemporary, or sophisticated, we hope you’ll find our ‘trendy chemo headwear’ goes with what you like to wear.
I’m Nicky, the milliner who designs the range and I hope you’ll feel able to wear our hats as an extension of your own personality and style. Chemo hats for women are a little different in that most of the time they will be worn indoors, so we concentrate on lightweight fabrics for extended wear, that wash well and maintain their good looks ‘wash after wash’.
I’m designing beyond the practical considerations of coverage and warmth. The depth of all our styles has been adapted for significant hair loss i.e. you can wear it without having to pull it down. (This only spoils the intended shape of the hat.) Scalp sensitivity may be a concern so soft fabrics are a must, and nothing too ‘huggy’, to avoid over-heating and itchiness.
Trendy chemo headwear
So here are a few styles and ideas to consider. The range has been influenced by over 17 years of listening to and working with hair loss women, and the insights they have shared.

Perry – stylish chemo headwear for special occasions. A pre-tied turban with lots of volume and height. Here we’ve tried to replace hair volume with fabric, so the drape goes all the way round the head and covers the crown tip. Perry comes in this rich Magenta pink and a few other colours too.
Jewel colours work well particularly around the face – they lift the complexion making us look ‘well-er’ than perhaps we might feel.
‘Crowns’ are always welcome whether you’re in the middle of chemo treatment, or trying out some new shapes with long term hair loss. ‘Crowns’ as a design brief sounds much nicer than hats for chemo patients!

Gigi – is a head wrap turban style. This style is available in Petrol Blue only. A ‘linen’ synthetic mix which looks realistic and doesn’t crease (at all)! Lined in soft viscose jersey, the inner hat fits snuggly to your head, whilst the generous outer drape won’t wrap too tightly around your head. Hence you get this lovely shape to the style.
Our trendy chemo headwear collection includes versatile options suitable for any occasion.
Both these styles disguise that defined head shape well. So many ladies have told us how they dislike hats that give a bald head too much definition i.e. it’s easier to see there is no hair underneath.
Fabric can be a great way to mimic the volume we create with our hair. We can place it all round the head to avoid that ‘pin head’ profile, when it feels your head looks tiny on top of your body. Or place it on top to lengthen your face shape, or suggest cap shapes to shorten it.

Sabrina – for a casual stylish turban hair wrap. No pins needed – the turban is like an infinity loop so it fits neatly round your head. Plenty of fabric in this style for volume with coverage deep onto the nape of the neck.
Love the way this style wraps up differently every time and you can place height / width to suit your face shape.
Remember, your trendy chemo headwear should not only be stylish but

also comfortable – you don’t need to sacrifice either to achieve the right look.
Chemo head scarves – stylish scarf tying tips

Scarves are so versatile yet many women think them too fiddly to master. Top tip make sure your scarf is big enough so that you have plenty of fabric to play with. Cotton will ‘turban up’ quite bulky – viscose, silk have a lightness to them, so they knot in a less bulky way.
Square scarves must be above 80 cms square for secure coverage – bandanas are too small to tie and not have to fiddle with all day. Long scarves min. width 55-60cms, length as long as you can find, min.180 cms up to 210 cms.
Ultimately, the right trendy chemo headwear can empower you to feel more confident and radiant out and about, doing what you need to do.
Print and fabric working together can make for a fabulous, contemporary chic head wrap. Think about your style and your colour spectrum. Eye colour plays a part too – you know which colours lift your colouring. Now’s the time to hunt for them to keep your trendy chemo headwear just that – your personal version of ‘trendy’!
Fit is everything
A couple of ‘invisible’ bits worth mentioning – our hats come sized to your head fitting. We’re making for ladies with head fittings from 52 – 63 cms – one size doesn’t fit all.
Our styles are hand finished, which means we take a little more time to ensure the hat will look this good on your head.
I’ve been a milliner for over 20 years now and hats really can change how we’re feeling. Some of my clients treat them as an expression of their style, some simply feel different when wearing them – more stylish, more confident.
Whatever your reasons for choosing headwear for everyday wear, our aim is that the hat helps lift your day, making you feel good in the process.
