Real hair fringe – how to wear and care
If you’ve looked at our real hair fringe and would like to know a little more about them, and how they work – this blog post is for you. The hairband arrives sized to your head fitting (a). Please try it on in front of a mirror and find out where you find it most comfortable to wear.

(a) (b)
(b) is where the hairband needs to be positioned for your hairdresser to shape it to your face. Most women wear it high on the forehead and low down over the bump at the back of the head.
We recommend using your hairdresser because it is hard to trim the real hair fringe on yourself. You might wish to try it on with headwear to make sure you have it exactly right. Certainly tuck the parts of the fringe you wish to tuck behind your ears, BEFORE trimming the fringe section. You can then trim these ‘back ear’ sections for length.
Real hair fringe
The hairband is made of real bio hair so treat it as you would your own. Wash it, dry and style it with your own products. (Your hairdresser can use ordinary scissors to shape the fringe.)
The real hair fringe wig won’t require too much thinning, there isn’t an excess of hair in it – it will require feathering / shaping to your face. Please be careful not to trim it too short – once it’s gone, it is gone – take it in increments and check it with your intended headwear.

Fringe wig with no clips
This real hair fringe is a little different. It can be used for significant hair loss, therefore it comes supplied on a soft elastic head band. Fringe wigs can be like hair extensions to clip in to your existing hair, to change your hair style. This fringe wig has NO sticky pads, NO clips and does NOT require glue.
The head band can be hidden under headwear to show a few wisps of hair and gives a totally realistic look, without anyone thinking significant hair loss / cancer treatment. They can be easier to manage and softer to wear than a full wig.
Will it stay in place?
Yes it will – the elastic as it stretches around your head gives it a slight tension, and your headwear worn over the top gives it added security.
What’s the difference between fringe and bangs?
Nothing. Bangs and fringe are the same ‘hairstyle’, either term is used depending on where you are. In North America, the term is “bangs”, while in Britain and Europe, the term usually translates as “fringe”.
Do fringes make you look older or younger?
Fringes tend to make you look younger – we are all different so no hard and fast rules here. But a fringe can make your face look rounder and hides your forehead. The area where many of us begin to show a few lines, as we age.
How do you know if you suit a fringe?
Certainly ask your hairdresser for some advice here before doing anything too drastic. The ‘growing out’ phase can be long and tiresome!
Finally – do fringe wigs really work?
In our opinion most definitely – they frame and enhance your features, when cut well. Heart shaped faces and Inverted Triangle shapes suit fringes particularly well. Fringes really seem to compliment the rounder face shapes. If your face is longer more oblong / rectangular in dimension then a fringe will have a shortening effect.
Oval and diamond faces will look particularly great with a choppy slightly untidy fringe. Remember there are many ways to consider a fringe – obviously length, but width – how wide you wish to take it, longer sides, thinning it – all elements play their part in creating the perfect fringe style.

This item was developed alongside women with Alopecia who were specific in what they were looking for – soft wide elastic that was not overly grippy, wide fringe weft to tuck behind the years for realism, and realistic quantities of bio hair. I hope you’ll find this super easy to wear and use, and it enhances your self-confidence at just how truly realistic it looks.
