What do we mean by ‘crispy’? The cotton fabric has a crisp gauge so that it holds shape well around the head. The scarf measures 96 x 96 cms (38″ x 38″).
We’ve tied this scarf in a completely new method, following on from requests for a Jada Pinkett Smith turban. Ms Smith regularly wears turbans but usually as a headscarf head wrap. Video clip will be released shortly. This method is a great way of getting some soft volume at the front but avoiding a large ‘doughnut’ knot. There are plenty of ways of tying a square headscarf but we rather liked the fullness of the final result here. Please be aware you’ll need a scarf with some ‘body’ to maintain the shape, flimsy silks or polyesters won’t hold the shape as well. (Model’s head fitting 56cms.) We like the feel of this cotton, (it will soften with washing), and love the colour – a denim blue is a useful everyday neutral.
We manufacture many of our styles in our studio in Westcott, this means we can make them in S, M, and L sizes. The ‘High St.’ manufactures to a regular head fitting (56cms), so if you are experiencing problems getting hats to fit or hats to stay on, we can make for you. (Small and large sizes are kept as stock items in many of our styles.) We request that you enter your head measurement when ordering and we will ‘size’ the order before dispatching it to you. Our hats are hand made and hand finished, so there is always some slight variation between milliners!
