If you’re wondering what to wear out this festive social season and you’re not getting on with your wig, a beautiful silk scarf can be super soft and cool alternative. This one we feel will be particularly useful as it is predominantly black, with splashes of colour.
We’ve tied this scarf in a slightly different way – tying off at the side as per our easy turban tying instructions but instead of tucking the ends away we’ve wound them around the knot to form a ‘bun’. We’ve then used a fine elastic hair band (no metal clasps) to wind it around and hold the ‘messy bun’ in place. This side knot seemed to reflect the style of of the gown and at the shoot we called it our ‘evening buccaneer’ look! The headscarf contains colours of black, lime green, light and dark gold, aqua blue and sky blue. You can adjust the scarf when tying to display the different colours within the scarf. The all important scarf dimensions are 108 x 180 cms, so plenty of fabric to create volume and easily tie, so that it stays in place.
We manufacture many of our styles in our studio in Westcott, this means we can make them in S, M, and L sizes. The ‘High St.’ manufactures to a regular head fitting (56cms), so if you are experiencing problems getting hats to fit or hats to stay on, we can make for you. (Small and large sizes are kept as stock items in many of our styles.) We request that you enter your head measurement when ordering and we will ‘size’ the order before dispatching it to you. Our hats are hand made and hand finished, so there is always some slight variation between milliners!
