Fitted hat size chart
How would I know my size?
It’s a good idea to measure your head fitting by placing a tape measure ‘Rambo’ style around your forehead.
Place the tape measure just over your eyebrows at the front and ensure the measure goes round the bump at the back of your head i.e the widest part of your head front to back.
If you like to wear your hats looser don’t ‘compensate’ with the measurement – we group head fittings within the S, M and L categories and all our hats are made from stretch fabrics, so there is 2-3 cms flexibility around your actual head measurement size.
The chart below shows you all hat measurement terms of reference. We use metric or imperial measures and group our head fittings accordingly – S (52-54 cms), M (55-57 cms) and L (58-60+ cms).
I make many of the styles from the workroom in Westcott, this means I can make in 3 sizes. The ‘High St.’ manufactures to a regular head fitting (56cms), so if you are experiencing problems getting hats to fit or hats to stay on, please get in touch.
Please enter your head measurement when ordering, so that I can ‘size’ and make up the order before dispatching it to you. The hats are hand made and hand finished, time is needed for the process. A fast delivery may bring momentary satisfaction, but I prefer to receive your thanks for a hat well cut and made.
The Suburban Turban range is made using viscose jersey, that has a soft stretch return. It hugs the head, but not too tightly, and most head shapes can be accommodated. With the stretch in our products, common issues that appear with structured woven hats just don’t happen with our hats for hair loss. For example, if you have a more oval shaped head then you may have experienced gapping around the head fitting at the sides. Our hats will simply mould to your head shape.
